Super Soft, Soft, Medium, Hard:

Which one to choose?

These three words describe different levels of softness

of toothbrush bristles. While harder bristles may be more effective

than soft ones at removing dental plaque, they may not be suitable

if your gums are sensitive.

First, let’s take care of the most important things

These toothbrushes meet the criteria the most

Super Soft (Super Soft)

toothbrushes have been created for taking care of the periodontitis-damaged gums, for use after intensive hygiene procedures, and for especially sensitive teeth and gums. Dentists recommend using a super soft toothbrush with intensive whitening toothpastes.

Soft (Soft)

toothbrushes are suitable for those with sensitive gums. Soft toothbrushes are recommended in combination with whitening toothpastes.

Medium (Medium)

toothbrushes are the most popular. When you brush your teeth with proper movements, medium bristles do a great job cleaning each tooth and do not injure the gums.

Hard (Hard)

toothbrushes are usually recommended for people with dental prostheses. Sometimes these toothbrushes are also recommended for smokers, but only if all their teeth are healthy and gums are not bleeding.

Myths about dental care

Flossing is not as important as brushing your teeth.
Ironically, 80% of plaque and bacteria that cause oral diseases hide between the teeth. So, you need to take care of the space between your teeth just as much as you do of the teeth themselves.
Teeth are brushed better if we press the brush hard.
Unfortunately, by pressing hard on the brush, we damage the tooth enamel and gums, thus creating more problems. Gums and enamel do not grow back.
If flossing causes bleeding, you should stop.
Did you know that gums bleed when inflamed? And flossing eliminates the bacteria that caused inflammation.
A toothbrush with soft or super soft bristles does not injure teeth and gums, so we can safely and effectively remove plaque. Medium bristles clean the surface of the teeth more efficiently but wear out the enamel, making the teeth more sensitive. Toothbrushes with hard bristles are not recommended for brushing teeth – they are intended for brushing dental prosthetics and for the maintenance of orthodontic appliances.
